WOMEN SURVIVORS OF CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE
This will be a twelve week group, meeting once a week for 90 minutes.
It is designed to educate and assist participants in working through issues related to childhood abuse while in a supportive group environment. Through the use of group discussion, artwork, guided imagery, writing assignments, storytelling and more the participants will have a unique opportunity to begin or continue their healing process. It has been shown that sharing in a group with people who have had similar experiences, feelings and reactions is extremely helpful as it allows the participant to feel validated, believed and supported, which are key elements for healing from abuse. As a group leader I have seen the growth and the life changing experience that can take place in a group setting.
